Our History began in 2001 when 66 Raw was the FIRST uncut & uncensored Hip Hop Channel on XM Satellite Radio. For 8 years 66 Raw has dominated the Hip Hop airwave with over half million subscribers consistently beating out their competitors on Sirius Satellite Radio.
However, in 2008 XM Satellite Radio was acquired by Sirius Satellite which eventually led to 66 Raw being replaced by Sirius Satellite native Hip Hop channel "Shade 45" owned by multi-platinum rapper "Eminem".
When Sirius XM made the decision to replace 66 Raw with Shade 45, the then Program Director and founder of the 66 Raw channel Leo "The General Leo G." Pryor teamed up with music & digital entrepreneur Daniel "Danny Blaq" Tran to secure the 66 Raw brand and take it completely independent by self funding it.
In 2009, 66Raw.com was born and now has international reach, multi-platform, (Radio, Video and Web), mobile and has become interactive. 66 Raw creates events, showcases, and workshops besides it is main operation in broadcasting.
